Aiden meet Target, Target meet Aiden

I thought it was time to introduce Aiden to his moms favorite store.....Target!!! ( I mean who doesn't love Target?!?!) Of course right when we got there he had an explosion in his diaper. But no fear, I had his huge diaper bag filled with all the essentials. I also showed him the meaning of bargin shopping (his dad was proud). We got this cute onesie that says "Grandpa digs me" with a bulldozer on it for only .98 cents! And the cute shorts were only .98 cents, too! For that price we couldn't help but buy him a few in each color! Here's him in his outfit that only cosy $2! Everyone told me boys were cheaper....man were they right!

This is for you Papa John and Granddaddy! Miss you!

Those really are shorts, even though they look like pants!

Mom, you know I can't sit up on my own yet

Please stop taking my picture and just feed me!!!

What do you think????

Everyones first comments when meeting Aiden are, "He looks just like his daddy!". I do have to admit I think the same thing, but these pictures really show it. Here's a picture of Jonathan at 5 weeks and one of Aiden at 3 weeks. I don't have many of Aiden with his eyes open, but I thought you could really see how his nose and mouth look just like Jonathan. My precious boys...

One month appointment

Aiden had his one month appointment this morning. I can't believe one month has already gone by. He is up to 8 pounds and 12 ounces! He almost gained one whole pound in 2 weeks. I'm so proud of him. His height was up to 21.3 inches. He has been such an easy baby so far. What a blessing he has been to our family.
So far these are the things Aiden can do.....
1. Eat! He has no problem with this (just like his momma). He has been going every 3 1/2 to 4 hours and has stretched it out to almost 5-6 hours at night!
2. Which brings me to.....he loves to sleep. He has been a great sleeper so far. Also just like his momma! He sleeps about 18-20 hours a day. I can't say the same for myself, though.
3. He has rolled over twice in his bed. I'm not sure if it was because he was really upset or that he's already so advanced. I'm going to go with already so advanced!
4. He loves the outdoors. When he is fussy we can just take him outside and he'll calm down. He's definitely going to be an outdoorsy kind of guy!
5. He's a big fan of his swing. That is another great way to calm him down if he's fussy.

These are the things I have learned so far.......
1. There is nothing on earth you can love as much as your child (well except God). I love being Aiden's mom.
2. When attempting to take your baby on an outing you can count on them going to the bathroom right when you walk in the store.
3. It's better having help when taking them on their first outing. That way you don't feel so overwhelmed.
4. Actually it's better having help for the first few weeks with EVERYTHING! House work, cooking, cleaning.....you name it, you'll need help with it.
5. Sleep when the baby is sleeping. I have not done a good job with this because it's hard for me to go back to sleep after I wake up, but this is something I wish I would have done when the evening rolls around.

We love you so much Aiden!

Activity Gym Fun...

So much to look at...

Can someone please tell that bird to be quiet

I decided to get his activity gym out tonight to see how he would like it. It kept his attention for a little while. The dogs were actually more interested in it then he was.

More pics from this past week....

I'm the "Chick Magnet"!

Granddaddy finally got here!

Can someone please get me some sunglasses

I love being outside with mom and dad

Hercules thought this blanket was for him

Grammy giving him his first bottle

bath time fun

Just hanging out

I look just like my daddy

i love my paci

We've had such a great week. Aiden had his first bottle earlier in the week and had no problem taking it! I don't think he cares where his food comes from, just as long as he's getting to eat! I don't want to jinx it yet, BUT.......for the last three nights he has not woken up until 5:00 after I put him down for the night!!!!! I'm so proud of him. Now if we can just keep this up I will be one happy momma. This weekend Jonathan's dad finally got here, so now all his immediate family has met him. We took him to the mall or the first time on Friday. He slept through the whole experience (typical guy). This week we go back for his one month appointment so I'm anxious to see how much he weighs now. I feel like he has changed so much in just a week.

The last few days.....

I've been hanging out with momma (I love his face in this picture)

I've been hanging out with daddy and Hercules

Still hanging out with the guys

Sleeping a lot

I love to pose with my hands up by my face!

I've been hanging out in my swing when I get a little fussy

Sleeping some more.....

I like to wiggle out of my blanket

Can you believe I'm sleeping some more!?!?

Here's some pictures of what we've been doing the last few days. Mostly sleeping, eating, and sleeping some more (surprise). He's been the best little man and we are having so much fun with him! He's been doing better at night with stretching out how long he goes between feedings. He's been doing good about eating every 3 hours during the day and going about 4 hours at night. This week I'm going to try and give him a bottle. That way someone else can give him a bottle during one of his feedings if I'm not around. Hopefully he'll take it. We'll let you know how it goes.

2 week appointment

Look how cute he is in his outfit!

Grammy & Aiden

Weighing in at 7 pounds 13 ounces

Look at that hair!

I can't believe Aiden is 2 weeks old today! We went for his checkup this morning and everything went great. He has passed his birth weight and is up to 7 pounds 13 ounces! He was such a good boy this morning. He loved riding in his carseat and was so calm and relaxed the whole time at the doctor's office. He was in the 25th percentile for his weight, 53rd percentile for length and 48th percentile for head circumference. The doctor said he was looking great (but we already knew that)! He is still doing good and eating every 3 to 4 hours. Last night he did good again and only woke up twice! He hasn't been doing that every night, but for the most part he's been a good sleeper. Jonathan's mom is here now so she's been lots of help. We're just enjoying every moment with him and thanking God every day for our precious little miracle.

Coming home

Here's Aiden in his outfit coming home from the hospital! Everyone has been asking how Boo and Hercules are doing. Well as you can see in the last picture, Hercules was VERY curious and Boo was not really that interested. Boo has been just watching over him and making sure he is doing good. Hercules keeps trying to get right in his face and lick him! We're trying to keep him away but it's hard.

Mr. Aiden....
