7 months!!!

We went and got pictures done today. I meant to do these at 6 months, but I didn't get around to it. We went to Portrait Innovations. For those of you that have one of these in your town they are great. Very affordable and you only have to buy a few of them and then they give you the CD with all the pictures they took. I'm not a fan of some of the backgrounds they chose, but you can do the neutral ones and they look lots better. Here's a few of my favorites:

The beginning of the big fall that ended the photo session...


Our little man turned 7 months old on Friday! And oh what fun we have been having lately. Here's all that Aiden has been doing:
1. Rolling all over the place. He is one active little boy. The days of just putting him somewhere and he stays there till we move him are over.
2. Teething.......two words come to mind-Not Fun! Some people tell me that when their babies were teething they never even knew it. Well not this guy! His two bottom teeth have come in and he has let us know about it all.
3. Loves to go on stroller rides. He is so content when riding in his stroller. Now that the weather is nice hopefully we can go on lots of walks.
4. Loves to eat (I don't see that ever changing). His favorites are still sweet potato and pears, still not a green fan.
5. Loves Hercules and Boo. He can sit and stare at them forever, which is good for us.
6. He still loves his sleep, but he is an EARLY bird. We try to put him down around 7-7:30, but some nights it's later depending on what's going on. It doesn't matter what time we put him down. though, he usually always wake up around 5:30. We might have to be changing that soon.
7. Loves to talk. Some mornings I hear him in his crib just talking away. It's pretty funny. We swear he's saying "Dada" and "hey". Like if he's looking at you and you're not looking at him he'll say, "hey". I promise.
8. Definitely knows how to pull one over on us already. Last weekend we were traveling and he had been in his car seat for a while. Well he decided he was sick of being in there so he started throwing a fit. When I could finally take him out of his car seat he just started laughing! There was nothing wrong with him, he just wanted out of that thing!


Well it has been a long 5 months since the first day I dropped Aiden off at daycare. But I am happy to say that in two weeks those days will be over!!!! That's right, I'm staying at home with the little guy. I feel like every week he is changing and I just want to be there for it. I can't stand the thought of missing out on anything. We have been praying about it and everything has just fallen into place. I feel so blessed. So only two more Monday's of waking up at 4:45. I'm definitely going to have to teach Aiden how to sleep in...

Happy Easter!!!

We had a wonderful Easter. We're still trying to recover from all the traveling. Thursday afternoon we headed to NLR to see my family. We only got to stay until Saturday morning and then we were off to Memphis to see Jonathan's family. This was one of the only good pictures we got of Aiden in his Easter outfit because we went to the 7:00 a.m. service and we were all so tired when we got back from it that we all took naps. We are going this weekend to get some pictures "professional done" so I will post those. You can't tell but his little polo he had on has alligator's on it and there are also alligator's on his hat. He did have on shoes, but those never stay on long!

Lovin' it...

After I picked him up from daycare we went to Target and Aiden is loving riding around in the buggy. I put his little cart cover on it and he has so much fun. It makes going out even easier.

Best Friends...

This was the scene when I pulled up to daycare yesterday. How precious are they?!?! Aiden's teacher had him and his girlfriend Madelyn out on a stroller ride and they fell asleep together. I was so glad I pulled up when I did and that I had my camera with me. It was priceless...



Aiden was excited that I was there to pick him up....can't you tell!

Catching up......

Sorry I have not been good about posting lately. Last week I was sick and Aiden had two ear infections. This past week.....well I don't really have an excuse for that. It snowed here a lot last Saturday but this is as close as Aiden got to the snow. (He's sitting on our bed looking out the window!). I didn't want to get him out because he had two ear infections so we just let him look out the window at it. I did bundle him up like he was going to go out in it, though!

Happy 1/2 Birthday to you...

Aiden turned 6 months old yesterday! I made cupcakes and took them to daycare to celebrate, even though he can't enjoy them I knew the teachers would. (Yes, I am going to be one of those moms.)
He's changing so much each week. Here are some pictures from last week and some from yesterday when we went for his check up.
*He weighed 16 pounds and 10 oz (which is in the 35%)
*He was 26 inches (which is in the 44%)
This is him yesterday going to the doctor. He was out! He does not sleep very much at daycare usually, so when I picked him up by the time we got to the doctor he was sound asleep. Imagine his face when I had to wake him up to get his shots.

When we got back home I wanted to take pictures of him and of course he spit up right when I picked up the camera. Oh well, I should be used to that now, right?

Gone! Did I mention he gets a little distracted very easily!

Aiden is on the verge of teething so he is sticking ANYTHING in his mouth...even his own shirt.

We went to Target yesterday and I decided it was time for him to face forward in his stroller....DUH! Why didn't I start doing this sooner. He LOVED it. It kept him entertained the whole time we were there.

Kicked back with one foot hanging out.....I think maybe he was getting a little bored.

He is still loves his exersaucer and is definitely more interested in it than before.

He's been sitting up better every day. (With the assistance of the boppy of course)

Things Aiden is doing these days:
1. He is starting to sit up. Not for a long time, but he's getting there.
2. He is still sleeping about 10-11 hours. But he is definitely an early bird. For some reason he has been wanting to get up between 5-5:30 am. He usually flips over to his back (because he's a tummy sleeper) and is playing with his feet in the mornings. I'm usually already up getting ready for work so it's not that big of a deal. It just gives me more time with him in the mornings, which I love.
3. Smiling ALL the time! He has become a little flirt when we're out and about. It's so funny. Someone will come up to him and he'll give them a little smile and then sometime bury his head in my shoulder. It's so cute.
4. Putting anything and everything in his mouth. Yesterday his Pediatrician said that his two bottom teeth were coming in. I'm patiently waiting for that because I've heard teething is not fun (for Mom or baby).
5. Loves to eat still. He loves all the fruits and vegetables, except the green ones. But that's not surprising.
6. Still wearing 3-6 month clothing, but I don't think that's going to last much longer! I know he looks big in some of those pictures, but he's really not. He's only in the 35th percentile for weight.

He has been so much fun lately. I know I've said this before, but each month really does get easier. Aiden is such a happy little baby and I feel so blessed that God gave us him.
