More hat pictures

Okay, so I am loving Aiden's hat.  I took Aiden and Madelyn for a walk this morning and put his hat on him and when we got back it was turned to the side.  I thought it was pretty funny.

Wazzup!!!!

Shout out to Brooks....

I know this is a little late, but I wanted to give a shout out to our little nephew that was born June 5th.  Jonathan's brother Ben and his wife Kristen had their second child......Brooks Anderson Carothers.  He was 9 lbs 15 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.  We haven't been to see him yet because they live in Shreveport, LA and that's like 8 hours from here.  We're going down in July to meet him, though.  We can't wait.  So since we haven't been there I didn't have any pictures.  Well Ben FINALLY sent these to us.  And here is the newest addition to the Carothers family...

This is Brooks' big sister Isabella giving him a kiss.  So sweet....

My guys...

We got Aiden his first baseball cap over the weekend and he actually kept it on!  I was shocked.  He really is starting to look like a little boy.
I love this picture because I think Jonathan is smiling bigger than Aiden!   I was trying to get Aiden to smile and I think Jonathan was too!  Well I guess it worked.

Trip to Orlando...

No, silly, we didn't go to Disney World.  Not with a 9 month old.  But the airport has Mickey ears so of course we had to try them on Aiden.  We went to visit Jonathan's Aunt Esther and Uncle Frank.  Jonathan's parents met us there and so did his Aunt Peg and Uncle Tom.  We had such a great time.  Jonathan's parents had not seem Aiden since Christmas so he had definitely changed since then.  And his aunt and uncle's had never met Aiden, so that was special.  There is a golf course where his aunt and uncle live and everyone drives around on golf carts.  Aiden LOVED the golf cart.  He was so funny.  Once again I did a horrible job getting pictures, but here are a few from the trip.  You'll notice I did great getting pictures when we first started the trip and then....well I don't really know why I stopped taking pictures.  Thanks again Aunt Esther and Uncle Frank for your hospitality.  We had a WONDERFUL time.  We will definitely be back soon.

This is Grammy and Aiden with his Mickey ears on!
This was us waiting in the airport.  Aiden was so content just watching people.  He gets that from his mom.  I love to people watch.
"Oh my goodness momma!  What is she wearing?"
"Give me that camera!"  Aiden is not to fond of me taking his picture all the time.  He's definitely a Carothers!
"Alright then, I'm outta here!"
I was so proud of Aiden on the plane.  He did so good!  I was so worried for several days before the trip how he would do and he was perfect.  He played, then he tried to eat the magazines, then he pulled down the drink tray, then he ate and he was done after that.  I was putting his bottle away and I looked over and he was gone in Jonathan's arms.  So sweet.   And he slept till we landed.  He did this same thing on the way back but you know I'm not so good about getting pictures at the end of a trip so I didn't get one of those.
After an exhausting day of shopping Aiden is getting rolled around on an ice chest by Grammy and Granddaddy.  Did I mention he was just a little spoiled while we were there?!?!
This was basically how each night ended.....Aiden crashed hard!  We had no problems with him sleeping on this trip.
This is the beautiful lake at their community.

Happy Father's Day

(I know I'm a day late with this, but that's the story of my life!)

Happy Father's day Jonathan!  No one can make Aiden laugh like his Dada can.  We look forward to 4:30 everyday because we know that's when you get home from work and we'll all be together.  I'm so blessed to have you as my husband, but Aiden's even more blessed to have you as his dad.   I love this picture of Aiden and Jonathan.  It was taken on our trip the weekend before last.  I wonder who Aiden favors????

Happy Father's day to our dads!

This is my dad (Papa John) with his
grandsons.

This is Jonathan's dad (Granddaddy)
with Aiden last weekend.

We love you both and wish we got to see you more often.

Guess who...

We put a gate at the top of our stairs and of course Aiden is so curious about it.  I had to run down and answer the door and when I turned around to go back up stairs this is what I found.

And of course his partner in crime "aka Hercules" was right beside him.  But don't worry grandparents......there's no way he can get under it.
More pictures from this past weekend to come.  Aiden took his first trip on an airplane!!  I'm too tired to post any more tonight, though!

I know, I know.....

It's been way too long!  We've been busy around here.  Sorry I'm so behind on blogging.  Get ready for a long post.  Here's what we've been up to...

Aiden turned 9 months!  I can't believe it either.  He weighed in at 21 pounds (Big Boy) and was 27 and 3/4 inches long.

Waking up from his nap with crazy hair.
"Can you just stop taking my picture long enough to get me outta here?!?!"
Still loves bath time.   Can't you tell!!!!
We're trying to get him used to using a sippy cup.  This is kind of hard!  But I know with lots of practice he'll get used to it.
You can really see his top four teeth in this picture.
Maybe it's time to put the 9 month clothes away!  FYI: When the buttons start to pop open, it's time to move up a size.
"OH, there's where I put my remote!"
Watching Wheel of Fortune.  His grandparents would be proud.

Practicing his yoga moves!  I bought Aiden some new pj's and they ended up looking more like a wetsuit because they were so tight.  Oh well, sleepwear is suppose to be tight, right?
OBU class of 2025 ready or not here I come!!!

He's starting to stand by himself without any help.....well for about 15 seconds.  But hey, it's a start.

Last weekend my parents came down and this was the only picture I got!  I'm so bad about taking pictures.  This is Aiden with is Papa John.  Hopefully my sister will sent me some more pictures from the weekend (hint, hint).  Thanks again for coming down.  We had so much fun.
My Mimi and Papa John went to New York and all I got was this stinkin' shirt!
Telling Hercules all about it...
"Boo, can you believe it?!?!"
